My TRUTH Story:
1. INTRODUCE YOURSELF IN THE THIRD PERSON TO A CROWD OF 10,000+ PEOPLE?
Sven is the Founder & CEO of Upstrive, MindMotions, And is an internationally certified Executive Coach with over 20 years of corporate experience, 15 years of Coaching and 5 years of entrepreneurial experience.
Sven lived and worked in Asia, the Middle East, Europe and the US for over 22 years and is a trusted Co-Pilot to executives, leaders, and leadership teams and a passionate founder of Upstrive - a unique system to make kids mentally strong and manage Wellbeing in Schools and Organizations.
Sven has always been fascinated by how to influence thinking and behaviors in a sustainable way. He has made it his mission to assist schools and organizations to make an impact on wellbeing and Motivation, that creates positive results for the individual and the organization.
Sven holds Master’s degrees in Science and Business administration and is dedicated to creating transformational change.
2. WHAT IS YOUR DEFINITION OF A TRUTH FOUNDER? When I read your definition of a Truth Founder it resonated completely with me.
After a long corporate career I realised that I was fooling myself in many ways along my journey.
After I have realized my true calling and passion, I feel a deep truth inside that guides me and provides trust in my journey... That would be my definition of a Truth Founder.
3. WHAT EVENT OR EVENTS HAPPENED TO YOU THAT INSPIRED YOU TO BECOME A FOUNDER?
I was sitting in my corporate office one day and just knew I had to leave to pursue my passion and expectations to create a positive impact.
4. WHAT IS YOUR MORNING ROUTINE & RITUAL? I get up early and try to fuel my body with something good. In most cases a glass of lemon water and matcha tea. Followed by various options to start the day, depending on my schedule. If time allows I do some stretching, And on weekends I take an early morning bike ride along the river.
5. WHAT MANTRA,QUOTE,LINE OR PHRASE DO YOU SAY OFTEN TO INSPIRE AND MOTIVATE YOURSELF? There is always a solution.
6. WHY DO YOU THINK PEOPLE SHOULD CARE ABOUT YOUR VENTURE? The mental health of teenagers is at an all time low -which is a growing global problem that will eventually impact society.
Upstrive addresses that problem by making teenagers mentally strong.
7. WHY DO YOU THINK YOU ARE THE ONE TO MAKE YOUR VENTURE A SUCCESS?
Various reasons....
1. I am driven by my passion to impact the global mental health crisis
2. I have a strong business background.
3. I can provide meaningful jobs to people who want to join our tribe.
8. WHAT DOES SUCCESS LOOK LIKE FOR YOUR VENTURE? ( START WTIH: IMAGINE A WORLD... WHAT IF...WE WILL BE... )
Imagine a world where children and teenagers have the skills and tools to deal with any challenge competently. And where mental strength is an enabler vs low mental health being a limiter.
9. ANSWER THESE AS MANY TIMES AS YOU LIKE - I BELIEVE... I DON'T BELIEVE... I believe in trust.
I believe that positive energy will create positive things.
I believe that our minds can heal our bodies.
I believe our minds can make us sick.
10. WHAT'S ONE DECISION YOU MADE AS A FOUNDER THAT COMPLETELY CHANGED THE COURSE OF YOUR JOURNEY? When I stopped putting pressure on myself to be successful. It ironically liberated me to focus on what really counts for me to be successful.
11. WHAT DO YOU REGARD AS YOUR GREATEST SUCCESS PERSONALLY & AS A FOUNDER? Personally that I overcame my own challenges.
Professionally that I quit my corporate career to pursue something meaningful for me.
12. WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT YOURSELF AND WHY? My relentless pursuit to get over the challenges I had. It created a resilience that I benefit a lot from today.
13. WHAT'S ONE THING YOU CAN IMPROVE ABOUT YOURSELF, AND WHY DO YOU THINK YOU HAVE NOT DONE IT BY NOW?
To be able to live more in the now. It originated in my upbringing, and is still a belief system I try to live by.
14. WHAT'S THE BEST PIECE OF ADVICE YOU'VE EVER RECEIVED OR GIVEN, OR BOTH?
There is always a solution to everything.
15. ON A SCALE FROM 1 TO 10 - 10 BEING THE BEST. HOW WELL DO YOU THINK YOU AND YOUR TRUTH STORY IS CLEARLY UNDERSTOOD BY YOUR COMMUNITY? ( WHY NOT 10? ) 8. The problem is very clear and our solution has a degree of complexity to it.
16. WHO DO YOU MOST ADMIRE AND WHY? My wife. She has an unbelievable trust in life and that things are ok as they are.
17. DESCRIBE YOUR VENTURE - ELEVATOR PITCH STYLE?
Half of all teenagers perceive their mental health as bad, And schools and parents are worried and completely overwhelmed by how to help them.

19. WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO TO UNWIND AFTER A LONG WORK DAY?
I go for a bike ride into the mountains.
20. WHAT WAS THE LAST THING YOU TREATED YOURSELF TO AND WHAT DID YOU CELEBRATE? I celebrate in silence. It was winning the Skinnovation startup competition out of 60 contenders.
