My TRUTH Story:
1. INTRODUCE YOURSELF IN THE THIRD PERSON TO A CROWD OF 10,000+ PEOPLE? Matthias Plunser was born as the oldest of 4 boys in a small village in Tirol/Austria. As a boy he had already many ambitious goals and the only thing that could stop him was either achieving it or going after the next bigger one. Since then Matthias published ebooks about paleo nutrition, went into the direct marketing industry and gathered experience in many different sales and marketing areas. In 2017 he founded his own marketing agency and helped many small and medium sized businesses grow their social media profiles and reach their customers through content marketing.
In 2018 Matthias left his home country Austria and became a Digital Nomad. He traveled to Thailand, Australia, New Zealand and Singapur, before he decided to stay for 2 years in Cyprus. In the middle of the covid19 pandemic Matthias, his wife Yara and their first son decided to find another place for them to live, so they moved to the little island of Sark in the British Channel. To give them a perfect infrastructure to work remotely he started a coworking space on Sark. After speaking with many people about workations he noticed that getting all the necessary information about legal requirements, visas, accommodation and coworking spaces is really time consuming and frustrating. A problem he felt needed to be solved! This is how WXplr - Workation Explorer was founded.
2. WHAT IS YOUR DEFINITION OF A TRUTH FOUNDER? An Entrepreneur who follows his own path to bringing big ideas to market.
A Truth Founders ambition should always be to make the lives of others better and easier.
3. WHAT EVENT OR EVENTS HAPPENED TO YOU THAT INSPIRED YOU TO BECOME A FOUNDER? I am a musician, runner and entrepreneur. Everything in my life was and is about creation, challenges, and growth. I've never done anything else in my life.
4. WHAT IS YOUR MORNING ROUTINE & RITUAL? Bringing my wife a cup of coffee in bed, And go running in the early mornings.
5. WHAT MANTRA,QUOTE,LINE OR PHRASE DO YOU SAY OFTEN TO INSPIRE AND MOTIVATE YOURSELF? Come on! Giving up long term is no option. But changing directions and finding better solutions is necessary.
6. WHY DO YOU THINK PEOPLE SHOULD CARE ABOUT YOUR VENTURE? Our users will get a seamless workation booking experience like they've never had before. Accommodations, coworking spaces, legal advice such as visa requirements, and much more that's bookable from one single platform.
7. WHY DO YOU THINK YOU ARE THE ONE TO MAKE YOUR VENTURE A SUCCESS? The workation topic is getting more popular every day and many industry leaders allow their employees to work remotely from abroad within their contracts. I am the person who believes 100% that now is the right timing for WXplr - Workation Explorer. I am a doer and pretty good in marketing and sales.
8. WHAT DOES SUCCESS LOOK LIKE FOR YOU PERSONALLY AND FOR YOUR VENTURE? Every time someone tells me that my work has had a positive influence in their life I feel pretty successful.
WXplr will be successful when our customers love to use our easy and simple way of booking that they will never want to jump between apps and websites for workation booking anymore.
9. ANSWER THESE AS MANY TIMES AS YOU LIKE - I BELIEVE... I DON'T BELIEVE... I believe in myself, the relationship with my wife, my kids, my ideas.
I believe that the right people find eachohter.
I believe that we are able to achieve way more than we think.
I believe in how karma works.
I don't believe in right and wrong, only in better or worse.
I don't believe in failure.
I don't believe in death as the end of everything.
10. WHAT'S ONE DECISION YOU MADE AS A FOUNDER THAT COMPLETELY CHANGED THE COURSE OF YOUR JOURNEY? Leaving Austria in 2018.
11. WHAT DO YOU REGARD AS YOUR GREATEST SUCCESS PERSONALLY & AS A FOUNDER? Personally, My family.
As a Founder: It makes me really happy to think of all the people I was able to help with my work in over the last 10 years.
12. WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT YOURSELF AND WHY? My ability to always see positive aspects in every situation, Or finding a solution very quickly.
Why: BecauseI I live with the principle of "Everything will be good in the end. And if it is not good, It's not the end."
13. WHAT'S ONE THING YOU CAN IMPROVE ABOUT YOURSELF, AND WHY DO YOU THINK YOU HAVE NOT DONE IT BY NOW?
I want to become a better speaker and improve my skills as a speaker. I haven't done it until now because I've had nothing to say to a big audience. Now I Do!
14. WHAT'S THE BEST PIECE OF ADVICE YOU'VE EVER RECEIVED OR GIVEN, OR BOTH?
If someone wants advice on how to achieve uncommon things: Never, never, never ever give up!
For me: What you don't want done to you, don't do them to others.
15. ON A SCALE FROM 1 TO 10 - 10 BEING THE BEST. HOW WELL DO YOU THINK YOU AND YOUR TRUTH STORY IS CLEARLY UNDERSTOOD BY YOUR COMMUNITY? ( WHY NOT 10? ) 10 - because I believe in myself. That's enough.
16. WHO DO YOU MOST ADMIRE AND WHY? A 100 mile ultramarathon finisher. Because it's so incredibly hard on your mind.
