My TRUTH Story:
1. INTRODUCE YOURSELF IN THE THIRD PERSON TO A CROWD OF 10,000+ PEOPLE?
Kumbirai Chipadza, a Zimbabwean-born serial entrepreneur, embarked on a remarkable journey at the age of 33, which led him from Zimbabwe to Germany in 2016, initially as an asylum seeker.
His academic background in Politics, Philosophy, and Law provided a solid foundation, but his true passion has always been in the field of entrepreneurship. For the majority of his life, Kumbirai has been at the helm of startups on two continents.
Today, he is recognized as the Founder of Deutsch Connect and the Co-Founder of Kuchera, a venture that recently secured a seven-figure investment. In addition to building successful businesses, Kumbirai finds immense joy in mentoring aspiring entrepreneurs and startups, both in Africa and Germany.
As a qualified Entrepreneur in Residence from Berlin Startup School, he wholeheartedly believes in the mantra: "Your Network is Your Networth." His team affectionately calls him "The Network Builder." With over a decade of experience in the African business ecosystem and five years in the African-German business landscape, Kumbirai has recently expanded into the Indian market through German Accelerator.
Kumbirai is characterized by exceptional drive and a dedicated team player. He is hardworking and relentlessly goal-driven, with a remarkable ability to lead and motivate teams, fostering a vibrant company culture. He boasts a proven track record in establishing strategic partnerships across the EU and Africa.
His areas of expertise encompass B2B Matchmaking, Business Development, and Business Model Design, as well as Business Planning, Ongoing Optimization, and Business Model Reinvention. His strengths lie in Stakeholder Engagement and Effective Communication, as well as Sales and Market Linkages, effectively bridging the gap between Africa and the EU.
Kumbirai has earned several accolades, including securing a seven-figure investment, being recognized as the Ortel African Entrepreneur of the Year in Germany in 2022, and being selected as one of 40 African and German young business leaders to accelerate economic cooperation between Africa and Germany in 2021. He is also a proud recipient of a business grant from Baden Württemberg State.
2. WHAT IS YOUR DEFINITION OF A TRUTH FOUNDER? As a Truth Founder, I wholeheartedly embrace the belief that my personal truth is my greatest superpower.
Both of my current startups, Deutsch Connect and Kuchera, are deeply connected to my personal truth. With Deutsch Connect, I draw upon my journey as a refugee, shaping a venture rooted in resilience and cultural understanding.
Meanwhile, Kuchera reflects my experiences growing up in a mining town and witnessing firsthand the detrimental effects of mismanagement in the mining industry.
This personal truth fuels my unwavering commitment to their missions and the vibrant community culture they inspire.
3. WHAT EVENT OR EVENTS HAPPENED TO YOU THAT INSPIRED YOU TO BECOME A FOUNDER?
Becoming a Founder was a deeply personal choice, rooted in the powerful influence of my mother's resilience. Watching her, a widowed woman and a teacher, singlehandedly take on the roles of starting a video shop, dressmaking shop, and restaurant all at once, left an indelible mark on my life.
Her unwavering dedication to providing for me and my siblings, her relentless hustle, and her ability to juggle multiple ventures simultaneously, became my inspiration. Her story is my driving force, propelling me to embrace entrepreneurship as a means to create opportunities and make a positive impact in the world.
4. WHAT IS YOUR MORNING ROUTINE & RITUAL? I pray, then have thirty minutes of meditation before 30 minutes of gym and then reading the news and social media.

6. WHY DO YOU THINK PEOPLE SHOULD CARE ABOUT YOUR VENTURE? We empower your load & haul teams to efficiently move more earth with data-driven insights. We are an optimisation tool that increases productivity , availability and cost efficiencies while creating safer working environments and reducing CO2 emissions. More importantly, We do not replace people with technology. We use technology to empower them!!

What if safety in mining was paramount, with zero tolerance for accidents and a commitment to protecting the well-being of every worker? In this vision, sustainability becomes the cornerstone of our approach, where we strive to leave a minimal ecological footprint and ensure the longevity of our industry. And above all, what if we could empower local mining communities, providing them with the tools, knowledge, and opportunities to thrive alongside the industry, with improved living conditions and greater economic stability?
That's the world we envision for Kuchera, where success is measured by the transformation of the mining landscape into a safer, more efficient, and sustainable environment, benefiting both the industry and the communities it serves.

Learning how to manage stress effectively, particularly in high-pressure situations, can have a significant impact on your well-being and decision-making. I am just always busy.

Never give up. Hard work pays off!
15. ON A SCALE FROM 1 TO 10 - 10 BEING THE BEST. HOW WELL DO YOU THINK YOU AND YOUR TRUTH STORY IS CLEARLY UNDERSTOOD BY YOUR COMMUNITY? ( WHY NOT 10? ) I think a lot of people dont believe that my community is truly marginalised when it comes to entrepreneurship.
16. WHO DO YOU MOST ADMIRE AND WHY? Vusi Thembekwayo - He is well spoken, very intelligent and great nuggets of wisdom for entrepreneurs.
Andre Schwammlein - He is innovative and has built a bus company during Covid, Which was exceptional in helping refugees.
17. DESCRIBE YOUR VENTURE - ELEVATOR PITCH STYLE?
We are a production optimisation platform that increases productivity, availability and cost efficiencies through a sophisticated hardware and software system that gives real-time data-based insights and recommendations to load and haul operations.
18. WHAT IS YOUR CURRENT MISSION STATEMENT OR MESSAGE + MARKET FIT FOR YOUR VENTURE?
Kuchera helps haulage businesses to empower their operators by bringing standard and real-time data results with our augmented intelligence platfrom.
19. WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO TO UNWIND AFTER A LONG WORK DAY?
I like to read a good book, Walk 10km, And spend quality time with my family.
20. WHAT WAS THE LAST THING YOU TREATED YOURSELF TO AND WHAT DID YOU CELEBRATE? I went on a 4-day cruise from Marseilles to Barcelona, Genoa and back to Marseilles.
I celebrated co-founding Kuchera.
