My TRUTH Story:
1. INTRODUCE YOURSELF IN THE THIRD PERSON TO A CROWD OF 10,000+ PEOPLE?
Jens is the Co-Founder & CEO of Partnify! Partnify is an online platform that creates a new standard for business-to-business partnerships. Companies can find, connect and collaborate with the right partners to create innovation and growth!
Over the years we have seen the need for companies to work with each other increase, but the process to do so became more and more complex. This is what Partnify makes easier so that you can create more successful partnerships!
2. WHAT IS YOUR DEFINITION OF A TRUTH FOUNDER? A Truth Founder is someone who knows what the vision of his company is, And s able to communicate it clearly. He is also willing to further develop himself with the insight and feedback he gets from his colleagues, clients and business partners!
3. WHAT EVENT OR EVENTS HAPPENED TO YOU THAT INSPIRED YOU TO BECOME A FOUNDER?
In my case there was not a single event or combination of events. It has been a process for many years where I had a need for change while not seeing other professionals or companies doing so.
4. WHAT IS YOUR MORNING ROUTINE & RITUAL? My morning routine starts the evening before. Everyday I end my day by preparing for the next day. I time box my days in the mornings, and in the afternoon I am available for meetings.
I start my day first by doing some stretching exercises and have a cup of coffee afterwards. Then I start working on documents, preparing meetings or answering e-mails.
5. WHAT MANTRA,QUOTE,LINE OR PHRASE DO YOU SAY OFTEN TO INSPIRE AND MOTIVATE YOURSELF? I would rather do something 100% wrong instead of doing nothing at all.
6. WHY DO YOU THINK PEOPLE SHOULD CARE ABOUT YOUR VENTURE? Doing business as a professional or a company is about people and relationships. A software driven platform should focus more on how they can support real life processes in stead of just digitising processes.
People like and need a personal touch. Business partnerships are formed in the real world and in our digital world we try to support that, not replace it!
7. WHY DO YOU THINK YOU ARE THE ONE TO MAKE YOUR VENTURE A SUCCESS?
I believe that we have an amazing team at Partnify and together we will make It a success.
All of us on an individual level are replaceable, But the combination of our founders team is not!
8. WHAT DOES SUCCESS LOOK LIKE FOR YOUR VENTURE? ( START WTIH: IMAGINE A WORLD... WHAT IF...WE WILL BE... )
Imagine a world where if you want to do business you have a platform that supports you. In business you need connections, relationships and deals.
Most successful professionals and businesses understand that the combination of this will be the key.
Partnify will be the online platform that supports professionals and business so they can focus on their connections, relationships and deals instead of being busy with peripheral matters.
9. ANSWER THESE AS MANY TIMES AS YOU LIKE - I BELIEVE... I DON'T BELIEVE... I believe that hard work done in a smart way is the cornerstone for success!
10. WHAT'S ONE DECISION YOU MADE AS A FOUNDER THAT COMPLETELY CHANGED THE COURSE OF YOUR JOURNEY? Finding the right co-founders. Giving up shares should not be done too easily but should definitely also not be done too hard.
I would rather have 10% of billion dollar company than 80 or 100% of 10 million dollar company.
11. WHAT DO YOU REGARD AS YOUR GREATEST SUCCESS PERSONALLY & AS A FOUNDER? Being able to create a strong founder and investor team.
This is the cornerstone for our future because our experience and insights are invaluable!
12. WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT YOURSELF AND WHY? That I am being able to turn aside my own emotions/feelings and create a helicopter view where I come towards a rational conclusion.
13. WHAT'S ONE THING YOU CAN IMPROVE ABOUT YOURSELF, AND WHY DO YOU THINK YOU HAVE NOT DONE IT BY NOW?
I can learn to listen more. While I've improved this by a lot it can be improved much more.
Why I haven't done this by now is because I still have the feeling I need to convince people with my words instead of my actions.
14. WHAT'S THE BEST PIECE OF ADVICE YOU'VE EVER RECEIVED OR GIVEN, OR BOTH?
The best advice I got is the following: The smartest people in the room are the people who know what they don't know.
Don't try to show that you know something when you don't, You have to be able to either learn about it, or find people who know about it.
15. ON A SCALE FROM 1 TO 10 - 10 BEING THE BEST. HOW WELL DO YOU THINK YOU AND YOUR TRUTH STORY IS CLEARLY UNDERSTOOD BY YOUR COMMUNITY? ( WHY NOT 10? ) 8. Not a 10 because it is very new what we do, And people have to get to know it before they truly understand.
16. WHO DO YOU MOST ADMIRE AND WHY? My grandfather. He was born and raised as a farmer's son. Started working as a normal policeman. Made a career all the way up to becoming CEO of Diagnose (ICTS). One of the biggest security companies in Europe.
17. DESCRIBE YOUR VENTURE - ELEVATOR PITCH STYLE?

19. WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO TO UNWIND AFTER A LONG WORK DAY?
I like to go to the gym. Read a good book; And spend time with family & friends!
20. WHAT WAS THE LAST THING YOU TREATED YOURSELF TO AND WHAT DID YOU CELEBRATE? We had a nice dinner with friends and family after we successfully closing our funding round.
