1. INTRODUCE YOURSELF IN THE THIRD PERSON TO A CROWD OF 10,000+ PEOPLE?
Dr. Nikhit is a trained Medical Doctor with a masters degree in Nanotechnology and Regenerative Medicine from UCL. His passion for technology in medicine and his research skills have enabled him to build a successful med-tech startup - Your Cue has the potential to save millions of lives in the near future.
He was recently awarded the 'Top 100 Asians in UK Tech' in July 2023.
He and his team became the London Mayors Entrepreneur Semi Finalists in April 2022.
He became start-up of the year at UCL X Santander University in July 2022.
He won a CapTableTV competition in June 2023, funded by Corten Capital and Forbes Family Group.
Their product became the health tech category winners in Start-up University World Cup in September 2023 in Denmark.
They've Bootstrapped a hardware prototype ready product in Jan 2023 - In Finger based device capable of monitoring heart rate, blood oxygen, skin temperature, blood pressure trends continuously.
They've onboarded a technical advisor with > 15 years of experience in delivering medical devices to the market.
They've Spoken to 100+ potential decision makers in our field and have received more than 18 LIO's from Indian hospitals who are committed to buying from us.

2. WHAT IS YOUR DEFINITION OF A TRUTH FOUNDER? A Truth Founder is someone who embodies passion, pain and perseverance as the foundations to a successful startup.
3. WHAT EVENT OR EVENTS HAPPENED TO YOU THAT INSPIRED YOU TO BECOME A FOUNDER?
My entrepreneurial journey began at UCL during my Masters, where I was first exposed to turning innovative ideas into companies. I started applying these lessons in practice during the pandemic, observing problems and conceptualizing technology-based solutions. Initially I tried to develop a SaaS solution to enable continuous vital sign monitoring but the problem wasn't completely solved because the nurse was still required to visit the patients to monitor their vital signs. However, when I lost my father the shortcomings became unbearable and I dropped my career to research and find a way to change how patients are being cared for across the world.
4. WHAT IS YOUR MORNING ROUTINE & RITUAL? Unfortunately being a startup founder there is no fixed morning routine. Generally it's checking emails with an excited heart hoping for positive results on funding applications and competitons!

6. WHY DO YOU THINK PEOPLE SHOULD CARE ABOUT YOUR VENTURE? Your Cue will enable continuous vital sign monitoring for every patient stepping foot into a care environment. For someone who is sick and goes to the hospital this could mean prioritised care in an A & E queue, for someone who comes out of Surgery it means affordable intensive care for as long as they need so that any complications can be caught in time, for a mother about to give birth or a newborn baby it means timely intervention at the first sign of distress. Your Cue will enable data generated insights and propel patient care into the next era.
7. WHY DO YOU THINK YOU ARE THE ONE TO MAKE YOUR VENTURE A SUCCESS?
Me and my Co-founder are both non-technical founders; But we've learnt everything about the technology we are building and we work hand in hand with the engineers and designers to develop our innovative medical device and software. We've bootstrapped upto £40k and have raised more than £90k since. We're passionate about what we're building, we've felt the pain of losing loved ones because of the lack of technology and we have persevered for the last 3 years to reach where we are today.
8. WHAT DOES SUCCESS LOOK LIKE FOR YOUR VENTURE? ( START WTIH: IMAGINE A WORLD... WHAT IF...WE WILL BE... )
Imagine if the world had 0 avoidable deaths. Today the UK alone has 68,000 avoidable deaths annually. Success for Your Cue is being able to deliver proactive affordable and accessible personalised care across the world.
9. ANSWER THESE AS MANY TIMES AS YOU LIKE - I BELIEVE... I DON'T BELIEVE... I believe that every founder must have access to the tools that can enable them to achieve the highest level of growth in their startup.
I don't believe that early-stage medical device startups have access to funding as easy as software based startups.
10. WHAT'S ONE DECISION YOU MADE AS A FOUNDER THAT COMPLETELY CHANGED THE COURSE OF YOUR JOURNEY? Searching for and finding the right Advisors for our startup.
11. WHAT DO YOU REGARD AS YOUR GREATEST SUCCESS PERSONALLY & AS A FOUNDER? Personally - Building a great support system around me.
As a Founder - Raising grant funding!
12. WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT YOURSELF AND WHY? My never give up attitude. It is the reason I am who I am and where I am today.
13. WHAT'S ONE THING YOU CAN IMPROVE ABOUT YOURSELF, AND WHY DO YOU THINK YOU HAVE NOT DONE IT BY NOW?
I believe that I can improve understanding when I need to take some time off before I burnout. I haven't been able to do it yet because there's always too much to do. ;)
14. WHAT'S THE BEST PIECE OF ADVICE YOU'VE EVER RECEIVED OR GIVEN, OR BOTH?

15. ON A SCALE FROM 1 TO 10 - 10 BEING THE BEST. HOW WELL DO YOU THINK YOU AND YOUR TRUTH STORY IS CLEARLY UNDERSTOOD BY YOUR COMMUNITY? ( WHY NOT 10? ) 8. Because I have been very vocal about my story so far.
16. WHO DO YOU MOST ADMIRE AND WHY? I most admire Elon Musk for his fearless and futuristic approach to entrepreneurship and the way his products resonate.
17. DESCRIBE YOUR VENTURE - ELEVATOR PITCH STYLE?
Your Cue enables affordable inclusive and continuous vital sign monitoring for every single patient admitted to a care home or hospital all the way from admission to discharge.
18. WHAT IS YOUR CURRENT MISSION STATEMENT OR MESSAGE + MARKET FIT FOR YOUR VENTURE?
The origins of Your Cue stem from hardship and loss - from my relentless battle to save lives during the darkest days of the pandemic.
As a young doctor working 120 hour weeks across two hospitals, I treated more than 2,500 patients diagnosed with Covid, desperately trying to help in every way I could. This gruelling sacrifice took an unimaginable toll as I lost fellow colleagues an young patients.
But when I lost my own father, within a short time, the system's shortcomings became painfully clear. He suffered just as my patients had, without the timely interventions he deserved. From this loss, my mission for Your Cue was born - to enable proactive continuous care for ALL patients, not just those in intensive units.
No one should suffer untreated as my father did. No other families should have to experience such loss.
I co-founded Your Cue with my brilliant colleague Sonakshi to complete this mission through life-saving technology. Our innovations have the potential to impact a billion lives in the next decade while easing the burden for atleast 10 million healthcare professionals.
This journey has been filled with struggles and sacrifices. But they only strengthen my resolve to fix these problems, to prevent more senseless suffering.
Your Cue represents the hope that from even the darkest adversities, we can find purpose, build community, and create systems that work for all people.
My father's memory lives on through this mission.
19. WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO TO UNWIND AFTER A LONG WORK DAY?

20. WHAT WAS THE LAST THING YOU TREATED YOURSELF TO AND WHAT DID YOU CELEBRATE? We all recently celebrated raising an angel investment round of £20,000. This will help us build a better design and add some protection to our prototypes and startup.
