1. INTRODUCE YOURSELF IN THE THIRD PERSON TO A CROWD OF 10,000+ PEOPLE?
Angela Ivanova is the Co-Founder and CEO of LAM'ON® Compostable Films. A groundbreaking company revolutionizing the packaging industry with sustainable, bio-based solutions based in Sofia Bulgaria.
Over the past six years, they have led the research and development of eco-friendly laminating and packaging films, now making waves in the global market.
A Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree, an EIT Manufacturing Leader, and an EIC Ambassador, Angela is shaping the future of sustainable materials.

3. WHAT EVENT OR EVENTS HAPPENED TO YOU THAT INSPIRED YOU TO BECOME A FOUNDER?
Coming from the printing and packaging industry, I’ve seen firsthand the massive amounts of plastic waste it generates. As an environmentalist at heart, I couldn’t stand being part of the problem so I decided to be part of the solution. That’s why I founded LAM'ON - to create sustainable alternatives that drive real change.
4. WHAT IS YOUR MORNING ROUTINE & RITUAL? I try not to look at my phone (email) for at least 30minutes. After that i have tee and a good stretch.
5. WHAT MANTRA,QUOTE,LINE OR PHRASE DO YOU SAY OFTEN TO INSPIRE AND MOTIVATE YOURSELF? I am greeting myself in the morning "The days is good and we are too"
6. WHY DO YOU THINK PEOPLE SHOULD CARE ABOUT YOUR VENTURE? Plastic waste is one of the biggest environmental challenges of our time, and we’re offering a real, sustainable alternative.
Our bio-based, compostable films provide the functionality industries need - without the long-term harm to the planet. This isn’t just about packaging; it’s about transforming entire supply chains, reducing waste, and proving that sustainability and business can go hand in hand.
7. WHY DO YOU THINK YOU ARE THE ONE TO MAKE YOUR VENTURE A SUCCESS?
I understand its challenges, needs, and resistance to change. As an environmentalist, I have the unwavering commitment to push for real impact and as a founder, I’ve built a team, secured key partnerships, and navigated the tough road of R&D to market. I don't see myself stopping until sustainable packaging is not just an option, but the standard.
8. WHAT DOES SUCCESS LOOK LIKE FOR YOUR VENTURE? ( START WITH: IMAGINE A WORLD... WHAT IF... WE WILL BE... )
Scaling globally, proving that sustainability and profitability can go hand in hand, and driving real systemic change in supply chains.
True success is when choosing eco-friendly materials is no longer a niche decision - but the default.
9. ANSWER THESE AS MANY TIMES AS YOU LIKE - I BELIEVE... I DON'T BELIEVE... I believe the right team can turn any vision into reality.
I don’t believe failure is something to fear, it’s just a stepping stone to success.
I don’t believe in doing things just because that’s the way it’s always been done.
I believe sustainability and business can thrive together and that profit and purpose are not mutually exclusive.
10. WHAT'S ONE DECISION YOU MADE AS A FOUNDER THAT COMPLETELY CHANGED THE COURSE OF YOUR JOURNEY? To step into the CEO shoes.
11. WHAT DO YOU REGARD AS YOUR GREATEST SUCCESS PERSONALLY & AS A FOUNDER? I’ve managed to align my personal beliefs with my work, creating something meaningful that not only challenges the status quo but also has a lasting positive impact on the planet.
12. WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT YOURSELF AND WHY? That I'm a nurturer.

I tend to over-control... I haven’t fully let go yet because I care deeply about every detail. This venture isn’t just business to me, it’s personal.
14. WHAT'S THE BEST PIECE OF ADVICE YOU'VE EVER RECEIVED OR GIVEN, OR BOTH?
FOCUS.

19. WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO TO UNWIND AFTER A LONG WORK DAY?
Its always different. Either I see my friends, talk to my sister or I just stay quiet alone or with my beloved.
20. WHAT WAS THE LAST THING YOU TREATED YOURSELF TO AND WHAT DID YOU CELEBRATE? We had an anniversary of the machine delivery :)
